It was 52F/11C when I first headed out with a cup of coffee. Pleasant hoody weather, but quite windy overnight.

With 10:30AM approaching, it's still 66F/19C, but it is to warm rapidly as the stillness returns and the bright sun has its way.

Cooler day expected. Chilly, 48F/9C to start, but still close to 80F for the late afternoon. Clear and sunny.

No rain until possibly a small shower during the coming weekend.

Light sprinkles again overnight, but not much.

The big story is that cold front cooled us down a good bit. 60F/16C approaching 9AM, light cloud cover.
Tomorrow our record low temperture for the date is in danger of being hit. Should get down to 44F/8C tonight.
That's odd for June, two weeks out from summer solstice.

Very nice weather! I'm sure we'll have to pay for this in August.

Is that from the Canadian fires I keeep hearing about?

We've had a good wind from due north lately, straight down through the plains where we live in the central USA region.

Hopefully all that smoke will head east at some point and fertilize the Atlantic.

Sounds ugly!

I said we've been lucky so far, but I spoke too soon.

The top story in the weather for today is the danger from particles in the air.
Our prevailing wind has shifted overnight from a powerful northern cold front, back to a normal pattern and we are getting north easterly winds bringing some of that wildfire smoke our way.

Nothing like what you describe, though.

Still the weather service recommends that any with respiratory conditions remain indoors or wear N95 masks if they must go out.

I have plenty more garage work to do, but I want to invite that 48 degree air inside my space before the heat takes over again.

Broke the low temperature record for this date again last night. At 9AM, 51F/11C. Definitely odd for June in Indiana.
