Even if I could afford it, wouldn't want to go there. I want my summers relatively cool and my winters subzero.

San Francisco's summer is barely warmer than our winter. No thanks.

We get a handful of too-hot days (around 100 F and above is what I think of as "too hot") and a handful of too-cold days (as in too cold to wear a T-shirt in the middle of winter), but temperature-wise the weather is not too far off ideal. A couple of degrees warmer on average in winter is about all we need.

In terms of rents, we're at #8 and San Francisco is at #1.
