18.1°C and sunny at 12:48pm. The sun is short-lived because today is meant to be a rainy day. And it has been so far.

noisy. 14ºC. Wind blows the words and shouts of the commentator of local games here. That guy loves his own voice way too much.

On the bright side, if the wind doesn't turn, tonight we will not get the sound from the village party tent. (Most of the years it is lousy music till way past midnight)

A very nice 21C.

^I can't believe that that's what you get for summer weather. That is our winter weather. In summer we can get days in a row of over 35C.

I want to move to Tasmania.

Move to Europe, would be cool to meet you.

Here, on rare occasions we have a few days in a row around 35ºC. This year we've had only one day over 30ºC, and the rest seems to be under 20ºC, if not under 15ºC. So far, it is a cool year.

This year, we've had a lot of rain. Yesterday's sunny 21C is the exception so far.

Move here instead. I can pretty much guarantee a colder climate. :zoinks:

Hmm. Not something one actually needs to see.

I disagree. Maybe one does not need to see as much as you get every winter. But last two winters we went without completely, and I really missed it. Love what snow does to the world, simplifying it to lines, and all those subtle white colours, ranging from pink to blue. Love the light it brings too, in a dark season of the year. Winters are very grey and dark without snow.

Depends on how much. Was the world completely white and still after it? Then visually it could be a bit like it. But the sight of snow is different. To feel it when outside, the difference is massive. Snow is softer. Wet snow sticks to you and then melts. Dry snow brushes more past you. With lots of wind dry snow can sting somewhat, but not even close to the way hail hits you.

It was only a bit. Enough to see on the ground but not enough to cover it.

Then the only likeness is that it is white and cold.

Hope you'll get to see a decent amount of fresh snow once, Ren.

SNow does have a slow peaceful feeling as you sit and watch it come down.   Then you have to go outside and shovel it while the wind blows it into your face.  I discovered curse words I never knew I had last winter after several storms in a row arrived all nicely bunched together.  Or, we will get that Nor'easter type storm that lasts for 2-3 days with howling winds and the paths you shoveled when the snow was 2 feet deep has been obliterated by a 6 foot snow drift.     :headhurts:
