Some places nearby also approached the ninety degree mark this week. The storm we had yesterday cooled us off where I live, though.
It is sixty four outside, right now. I would open the house up and enjoy the night air, except that there's is also a skunk prowling the neighborhood for the third time in the past few days. I suspect the flooding has displaced many wild animals and they are forced to venture well outside of their normal runs.
When the river recedes, I will have to call the animal control office if it is still around. I can guarantee you that the typical city people here don't know why it stinks outside.
