Why do you have such a stick up your ass about the government being good guys?

Because they're intoxicated on unbridled idealism.

Wait, what? Being untoxicated on unbridled idealism is what makes the government good? Am I understanding you right?

First of all, since am I one of those government being good guys your original question makes no sense. I say that those who believe government is all bad and that society would be better off without are the ones who are intoxicated on unbridled idealism and lack understand of human behavior.

Aww, aren't you cute when you're trying to be a good boy!

And how am I *trying* to be a good boy:mischief:

Quite frankly, I detest libertarians, anarchists, and other naive idealists who are out of touch with reality.
Hoping you realise that most of the Tea Party are libertarians, they are for the closing down of most government functions.

and of course want to get the 'nigger' out the white house.

As long as they are in control of the House and hold the Senate hostage with the threat of filibuster, nothing in our country will improve.

So government? Meh.

As long as they are there ..... fuck the government

I do like nice roads (sic) and safe food tho.

While we are on the subject of fuck this and fuck that

Go fuck yourself in the ear

I'd still like to know more about the great declassification of 1992.

The internet went public in 1992. By that I mean that anyone and everyone could access it. NOT just people with computer accounts at academic institutions! Keep beating around the bush, kid. Nothing you said contradicts my point.  ;)

What's a "computer account", and how would you access the internet without one?

Red herring. If you were attending an academic institution then you could get an account.....Perhaps some of these institutions allowed campus visitors to use their internet connections with permission, but I digress. The point is that 30 years ago the internet was not yet commercial so not just any old body could use it. Unless of course, you were David Lightman.  :indeed:

Why digress?  You were disproving your own point quite nicely.

This contradicts your point. Please point out the great declassification of 1992 in that article or provide a reliable reference of your own. Keep posting nonsense and I will keep on asking you to tell more about that fabrication of yours.

Now, I know what you'll say--the Scientific and Advanced-Technology Act came in 1992. Problem is, the Internet was public in the 80s; the 1992 act simply opened up a few networks that weren't generally accessible before that, which is what Wikipedia will point out.

And then you'll most likely try with 1995, and probably find another few years to suggest, in an attempt to save face. You might even believe some of it yourself, feeling validated when you can find something, anything to support your initial lie.

But it won't be true. Kid.

I feel that makes a good case for less government not more.  Sure they developed the internet but it did not become what it is today till they let it go.
