My Mum used to give out the candy while we walked the kids around and we were expecting to see here that day two years ago and didn't see here the previous weekend. She died on that Monday. :'( We waited until after trick-or-treating to tell the kids so as to not ruin the night for them.

My mom died a few days before Halloween eight years ago.  We got back home from her funeral in time to take our daughter Trick or Treating and we all dressed up in our mermaid and merman costumes that year so we wouldn't ruin Halloween for her.  It was freezing cold with the wind blowing and it was snowing.

My best friend's Dad committed suicide the on the 30th, five years ago. He and his wife were like second parents to me, he married the ex and I, and he was my Dad's best friend since childhood. I talked to his daughters on Saturday, they're my closest friends. Still struggling with the whys.

Went to uni where I watched a bit of Hotel Rwanda and then our class talked about it. Then got some Coke Zero on my way home. Then came on here and that is all I have done since. This place sucks me in.

Quite a lot. Including calling in to an organisation, to see if my letter had been received and processed. There was no trace of it there. I have sent it in two weeks ago.  :-\ Will send in a new one, hoping that that one will go alright.

Well this was yesterday, but I went and visited my sister and niece. I gave my niece a huge bucket of candy and played with her and the cats for a bit. She managed to get a huge ass splinter in her foot and started bawling, and she wouldn't let me pull it out for some reason. Children's logic lol. Finally convinced her to sit still long enough for my sister to pull it out, and she kept bawling, so I told her we could put a bigger splinter in her other foot so that foot would stop hurting. She stopped crying and got mad. Lol. I finally got her laughing cause one of the cats farted and I kept talking about cat farts.
