You forgot the love of geometric shapes (like triangles), space and  having an unnatural obsession with fonts like Helvetica.

  What about Georgia font, is that on the cutting edge of hipness?

They'll look down on everything except Helvetica. Especially Comic Sans.

Some will accept Arial and Univers though.

I like Arial because it is pretty easy to read. But because of APA guidelines (or rules) we have to use Times New Roman at uni which I don't like.

The closest I have to the first one you mentioned is Utsaah and Windings is pictures; I have 3 versions of that.

Most sans-serif fonts are naturally more easier to read. Don't really have a favourite font, but I prefer sans-serifed fonts over serifed. Much more cleaner, versatile and neutral looking.

Used a shitload of Helvetica on one of my recent college projects. I feel dirty.

I am trying Arial here. I use Microsoft Word and Helvetica is not on it and I don't know its equivalent.

You are right, though, you used a lot of it!

Arial is very similar to Helvetica. Most people can't tell the difference. Clues to find out that if it's Helvetica is that it has "studs" on letters like "G", tails on letters like "a" and straight, horizontal cut edges on letters like "S".

I like Tahoma/Verdana myself. It just has a very "sarcastic" feel to it.

They're humanist fonts. They're supposed to be more friendly and more informal, due to their more "handwritten" appearance.
