I've been thinking a lot recently about the future of AFF as I personally won't have the time to keep running it personally and pikajedi is currently taking on a lot of the load - awesome as he is, and awesome as a lot of the other candidates for new mods are, we still need something more stable longterm.

In order to figure this out I need to look at some of the drama in the community and analyse it in more depth - drama apparently is pretty popular on this site ;)

Surprisingly little to be found here, when it comes to that. More to be found at AFF itself I would think.

But, this place does have interesting drama dealing possibilities.  :M

Actually i find here that their is generally a honestnot bullshit approach which is quite refreshing.
Callouts and arguments happen, sure, but they are not feared.
It allows for transparency and honesty and for shit to be resolved, sneakiness exposed, and people to have to make a case for what they are insinuating or shut up.
Misunderstandings too are exposed rather than not addressed.
It doesn't pander for fragile egos nor trolls nor emos.
That is not to say it is brutal either. Generally most people get on and we are a happy dysfunctional family of sorts.
I am more comfortable here than any other aspie forum bar none.
