I don't watch much tv but have to admit air crash investigation is interesting.

The last flight i ever had was Luton-Gibraltar and it was just before 9/11.   I have not flown since.  Too chicken shit.  Never ever will again.

So i guess i am just stranded here on this desolate island.  I suppose i could sail,  and i am from sea-fearing naval folk :M

i think its "sea-faring" unless they are afraid of the sea?

Flying doesn't bother me no matter what I watch. I am leaving for San Diego tomorrow, it will be the 4th round trip flight in 13 months. I have no idea how many flights I have taken in the last 34 years.

again, not _afraid_ but a bit on-edge i guess on the open ocean. its that teeny little voice inside my head telling me theres no way out, if things should go wrong. also, similar to with airtravel, out on the open ocean, your "high up", as in, terra firma is way way down there, and its unnatural

There used to be a show called  "Seconds From Disaster."  It retraced the fatal
sequences of errors preceding major disasters on land, at sea, and yes, in the air too.
Turns out many people are stupider than I am.  :fp:

It's been a while since I last watched any of the air disaster shows, but I sometimes play through some of the numerous crash footage compilations on Youtube. Gives me something to think about when boarding yet another plane. :zoinks:

Once, when I was nine, I felt carsick and started thinking about a disgusting sandwich I'd eaten previously!
Peanut butter and banana.  Too chewy.  The memory made me feel even sicker.  Then I threw up!  :happypuke:

Just that cover image alone is terrifying.  If I were in the little van, I'd have died of fright.  :zombiefuck:

Did you look at the clip? How the guy holding the camera stayed on the road is beyond me.

I will look at it now.  I found the cover image too frightening, and I don't usually scare that easily.  :hide:
