I  successfully extirpated the miteds on my ergot sclerotia already, wanted to avoid potentially harming the fungus, so I used argon, inert as they come more or less. Suffocated the bastards by displacing all the oxygen.

Don't want parasites on my parasites:P

No need to risk poisoning myself handling something as noxious as those mole smokes, PH3 isn't something I want to handle indoors. No need to use anything nasty at all, because after all if they cannot breathe then they can't very well  harm my valuable genetic material.
