I don't know, the entire thing seems fishy. Don't like the design of the cameras either.

The design is beyond awful, but I find the technology interesting.

It can be done (Adobe already showed their take on it), but I've been studying this company closely over the past few months and their details on the technology is sketchy at best. No major details on how their technology works, quality of photos seem more DSLR like than what this can produce etc.

If it's released and it works then fair enough, but somehow I can't shake off the skepticism.

I'm interested in their results. I'd like to see some high-res tests.

It's an interesting idea and I could see a lot of applications for it but for the moment I think standard cameras would be best for most peoples needs. Schleed is right about the design it looks like a CCTV camera

Like Schleed said, it can be done.  I've done stuff like this in Photoimpact & Adobe.

Since it's software based I'm thinking it's basically the same, maybe just more user-friendly.

How exactly can this be done? Doesn't the information have to be in the picture itself?

You take a picture, the whole picture is in focus, you load that picture into the software and select the area or object you want to remain in focus & blur the rest, or vice-versa...and just sharpen your selection.

I'm curious how the software performs with low-light photos, most of the time it comes out "grainy" for me. Depends.

Oh. Well, that's nothing new or exciting. ::)

I have used software like this,  just how IQ describes -  not sure if i
understand why the camera is better?

I like the concept of it anyway.
