One of the local old timers told a friend of mine that there's a place near here where there's crystals a foot long on some ledges above a lake at the top of a canyon.  I tried going up the canyon, but it was a jungle between two rocksldes.  Somebody's probably been up there but there was no sign of it and no telling when.

The next time, I tried going in over the top, following the ridge line, but I ran out of daylight and had to turn back.  The damn place is only about six miles from town and I haven't been able to get there.  I wanna find out if the story's true, but for now, it's still a legend.
