The blinds on most of my windows are crummy old ones that let in too much light and enable people to
see into my room, so this morning I duct-taped cardboard over my bedroom windows, then put the blinds back up.
Now if Ladder Man returns to work on my windows, I will feel safely invisible, and can postwhore in peace!  :ninja:

I love having my bedroom so dark.  This weekend I think I'll buy some dark drapes!  :2thumbsup:

Good thing to do, while Ladder Man is making horrible noises.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

I was in the bathroom washing my hands when an insect (about 9 millimeters long) flew onto the barsoap and got stuck in the suds. I took it off the soap and it dropped into the sink, where I figured it would clean off its wings and take off.

I am not sure what kind of insect it was- sort of looked like a flying ant, but with a pointed abdomen (not quite a stinger)...

Anyways, I come back to pee a few hours later and when I washed my hands, I found the insect drowning in a large droplet of water in the sink; it was sad, the little legs were bent inwards and the antennas were curled up. It was out of habit that I prepared to wash it down the sink when SUDDENLY I wondered if insects could faint, and that perhaps it could be revived.

So I picked it up on my finger, then gently used toilet paper to dry it, and put it on the toilet paper wad. It was motionless. I brought it into the kitchen and set it on a shelf near the back door. I doubted that it was alive...but still....I wondered....

Later, when I came back to check on it, I noticed it's antennas were no longer curled up and were curved outward - and healthy sign. Then I looked closer and could see that it's teeny tiny insect body was twitching.

Amazing!

I then took the toilet paper wad with the insect on it outside to a patio table. There was a soft warm breeze and I imagined that the insect could sense it. I watched it for awhile struggling and wondered if it had been poisoned by the soap.

Then (worried that a bird would chomp on it) I broke off a small leave from a plant and put it over the insect for cover. It reacted when I put the leaf over it, but still couldn't fly off. I then left it to recover in peace. When I returned, it was gone (the leaf was still there). I was glad.

A little tiny insect who struggled to live.

That is sweet.  :)   Sometimes I find a beetle overturned and struggling to get upright, and I help it.

Sometimes I find a roach in the bathtub overturned and struggling to get upright, and I squash the SOB and flush him down the toilet.

Things (I did).. but also I've pruned the buxus (or box) hedge this afternoon.

Um, picture.. or it didn't happen? 'k.

Yeah, yeah, it's quite a short cut/trim but that's okay.. it will be a nice green hedge soon.

(glad I can 'erase' that garden job from my to do list)

Nice job lutra, looks like you've got a lovely secret garden there. 8)

Planted 2 elderberry bushes (I want jelly)...and picked up an infected computer from someone to fix.

Microsoft Security Essentials seems to suck at detecting rogue software, it's got a couple of them. Once I get it scrubbed I think I'll put on Avast instead.

You know you've had a shitty day when the highlight was seeing Fast and Furious 6.

If you're going to make a film about cars, crashes, racing why the hell stage most of those scenes at night?
There were a couple of nice classic cars.

I will say that the cars had the best lines in the show.

Dwayne Johnson's shoulders were padded beyond belief and I think he's got a weight problem.  He had on a bullet-proof vest the entire movie.

Sent a pistol to Ruger for repair. I am a competent at detail stripping and parts changing on Glocks, Sigs, M&Ps and 1911s among others but in this case I fucked up. Que lastima.  :dunno: I should have it back in about 2 weeks or less.
