Fixed a little bug on a server. Drove to the cinema and started the first show of the day.

Worked away backlog in washing.
Mopped floors, did a bit of work in the garden.
Had a talk with the teacher of my youngest, he gave his 2 cts on what kind of school would be good for her after this one.
Uploaded travelling money on the passes of my girls.
Handed them some bread to eat, because both were away again very early tonight, to see a school, with the best friend of my oldest.
For the two older girls, it is kind of a sentimental trip.
I'm getting old.  :hahaha:

Went to school. Did some maths.

Had an easy day working on an addition as a subcontractor for an other insulation company.

The washer repair man came.  Decided I could damn well fix/bodge it for way, way less than over $200.  Hell, a new washer only costs $350 or so.  Took the PR bowling.  Washed clothes at my friends house.  Brought them home to dry them here.  Spent some time in bed because my allergies are really doing a number on me.

Spent the night mothering...
Saw the doctor in the morning, in mother mode.
Now playing nurse.  :P

Ran another couple of festival shows. It's not over yet, though.

Went around to Mum's to get more clothes.
Went and did a bit of food shopping.
Visited Ceilidh.
Came back to Ceilidh's house and had dinner.
Sent an email to someone at the Disability Services Commission about a community living plan forum that will be happening in a few weeks' time.

Went to my doc about my stomach problems, got some more meds.

Took some of those when I got home.

Got home, went into the kitchen for a fag and to cook a pizza; which I'm now munching on...pepperoni and cheese. I wish I had a few jars of pickled olives though to go with it.

Other than that, not much. Talking to a friend on MSN, reading some rather interesting and potentially very, very useful chemistry journal articles, along with, since I got a big new set of shelving for my room for xmas, a much more efficient and spacey set than my old wardrobe, been moving all the spare lab glass out of the lounge downstairs in its boxes and stacking, arranging  things as  they  should be.

Nice relaxing day lining things up :autism:  *flaps and spins in place*

What is it doing wrong unless it's one of the new computer controlled ones they are not that bad to fix

The tube that goes from the tub to the water level control was blocked.  In order to remove it to clean it I had to take the control panel off.  When I was trying to reassemble it I found out the plastic "prongs" that hold the water temperature control unit had broken off and it was lying loose since I had taken the control knob off.  The guy wanted $108 for a new panel (around $70 on the internet plus $7 or so shipping if I bought it, which he didn't offer as an alternative) and $108 to screw place it in the prongs and screw 4 screws in to secure the panel.

Since I don't use hot water I'm simply going to leave the water temperature control alone, put a piece of plastic over the hole where it comes out for the dial and put the control panel back on.  It was the sensible solution, but my response was a rigid "Fix it right" thinking rather than "Make it do" thinking.  I'm out of pocket $100, but I now know a lot more about washing machines and flexible thinking.
