Went to the same grocery store twice today to pick up things we needed.  The first time was wih the PR and she used the handicapped scooter to the fright of everyone in the store. (She tends to drift to the left since she can't use her right hand.)

Traffic in Baton Rouge is heavy even in the best of times.  Add to it people preparing for the storm and it's quite exhausting.

Took the oldest to/from camp. Ran errands. Had one of my best friends over for the evening.

Took the boy to camp. Had an interesting phone conversation. Cleared up the clusterfuck at my store. Cooked ribs and fries for dinner. Got lots of paperwork done. Had a really good chat with a friend.

Why did an  optician  say that?  What did s/he see in your mother's eyes?  :-\

Wow, that sounds kind of random, your poor mum!  ???

Today/this afternoon I've done a white laundry.. and this time with a 95C program. Never wash that hot but read something about that it's better to occasionally do that to clean the interior of the washing machine. People, mea incluis, don't wash that hot anymore nowadays and with 'today's' rel. low Ts (of washing-program) soap and shite tends to build up inside the apparatus. Added a cup of sodium carbonate, alone with a liquid soap, also. Hope it helped a tadski.

Cleaned the windows (outside/on the ground level of the house) too today and got rid off the old 'felt cushions' under my table chairs.. via chisel and replaced them with new ones. Um, oak chairs they are and with a (ceramic) tiles floor.. that needs to be done once in a while.

Made broccoli soup and ate a bowl of it, and ¾ of a pizza, for dinner. Ran some errands and I'm now watching, with one eye tbh, 'The Bourne identity' on the telly.
