It's good that you called that other company.

Yes, even though I had neither authorized a switch nor given them any financial details
that they could use to make the switch FOR me, I wanted them to hear how irate I was
at having been taken in by their carefully worded, misleading sales pitch.  I feel better
for having spoken up.  Dude, I complained.  :orly:

:arrr:

I spent most of my day in a meeting.

Was it like the meetings we have here?  :kumbaya:

Not exactly.

Had the most amazing morning reconnecting with an old friend. I find her house to be very peaceful and I love sitting by the lake while we talk. Picked up ladybug from school and made the kids a fab dinner which they were raving about. Sent ladybug back to her Dad's and shuttled DS to his Robotics class. He's disappointed that it's the last one but they're continuing on in the fall so I hope to register him then.

Catching up with old friends and being at the lake sounds cool.

Home inspection - walk through with results is at 2.  Nervous about the results.

Enjoying a quiet day. Went through every plastic storage container in my kitchen and kept only what had matching bowls and lids and ditched the rest. Moved furniture in my family room. Convinced DS about the wonders of taking a shower (typical 13 year old boy that he is :P ) and hoping to take him to get a haircut today or tomorrow.

Hard job at waking kids and getting them downstairs for breakfast and ready for school.

Work, cleaning mostly today, found a tea-pot too cute to resist, so despite trying to ignore the urge, I just had to buy that.

Saw my ex at my work, invited him over so I could talk him through the developments around school.

Went home.

While ex was here had some more phonecalls about the school drama. Things are getting weirder and weirder now, but, are also unfolding.

Clipped hedge, did shopping, cooked a nice dinner, had coffee, and then saw two kids off with their dad.

Now the rest of the day is mine.

House inspection

What was the verdict?

Well, good and bad.  The water main is busted and leaking badly.  It runs right under a 50 yo tree and the roots finally took it out.  Seems to have happened in the last week.  So, it is bad in that the sale will be contingent on the seller repairing it, which isn't cheap.  It's good in that it happened now, and not right after closing when it would have been my problem :)

Odd that it happened so close to the sale but like you said better now than latter.  Our oil tank sprang a leak just after we bought our house but the contract with the oil supplied included insurance that fixed it.

Today I went to some estate sales and bought very little then cleaned all the tree debris off my doctors roof and cleaned the gutters there too.

Worked overtime and managed to wriggle my way out of working Saturday.

Went to friends place for dinner. Had pancit and Filipino style stew over rice.  Filipino food is great. Annabel is a very good cook.
