The cub is super into lego this year. My brother enabled him in buying me lego for Christmas. Now he wants to build it instead of me. The cub, I mean, not my brother.

Amber had her Lego phase, when it passed, we donated it to a camp in upstate NY that she attended that is a camp for those on the spectrum and learning disabilities, etc.  They have a special Lego Cabin for the campers and it is quite popular!  Amber spent 5 summers at that Camp and it was a godsend for all the positive things she got out of it!

Went for a ride up the coast to see the lobster pot Christmas tree it was interesting but the view on the other side of the parking lot was better

I took down all the christmas stuff. :hadron: I washed all the holiday linens and boxed up all the things. The boy will dismantle the tree in the morning and cram it all back in the cram hole. The only thing left is the fairy lights in the diningroom cabinets. I'll just turn them on every night until the batteries die.

Cram hole is a perfect name for that space.

That picture of the boats in the fog above is just eerie.

Today Kayleigh and I went to the hospital for her colonoscopy. Beforehand she wouldn't let up about how hungry she was. I sat alone in the waiting area for about half an hour while she was in theatre. One of the nurses gave me apple juice and two packaged biscuits which was very kind. When Kayleigh was back in the ward, I was called in to her. She had a sandwich and cheese and biscuits which she devoured. We were both given orange juice.

The doctor told Kayleigh that there were no polyps (which is a very good thing)  and that it was difficult to sedate her. He said next time she should have a general anaesthetic.

Afterwards we went to Hungry Jack's and had burgers, chips and drinks. We are both home and pretty tired.

Well, spent an interesting time going thru a couple of storage places and consolidating stuff.  Got rid of some excess paper stuff, but, the best part was taking all the photo's and other memory stuff and placing them in one spot, aka, what we refer to as the "Bone Vault." Which also serves as my book and other stuff table.  And the big drawer under our large oak secretary, drop front desk, and shelves, etc.  And consolidated the big drawer on the bottom as our wrapping paper, mailing envelopes, etc.  It's a project that's been gnawing at me for awhile and now it is done.  Time for a big mug of hot cocoa!  😎

I grocery shopped and fueled the car. :hadron: The car really didn't need much gas, but I topped it off anyway or else it probably wont last until next grocery day.  :dunno:

Walked to the local shops to get margarine. Got a bunch of groceries. When we got home realised we forgot the margarine. Oh well, had some nice pasta salad for lunch.

I did my Saturday housework. :hadron: I ran to the store today to buy some blackeye peas and cabbage to eat new year's day, because I totally forgot about that when I did the grocery shopping. I also investigated one of our Christmas gifts. We received a small countertop Aerogarden herb garden thingy. I pulled all the stuff out of the box and read the instructions, and I'll be setting up that cool new gadget in the morning.  :2thumbsup:

I took Kayleigh to the train station. She's going to a friend's house to watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy. They do this every New Year's Eve.
