Met up with the guy who came out to the house winterize our sprinkler system.
That was LOUD!!
They have to shut the water off and blow high pressure air through the system for half an hour to clear all the water out so nothing freezes over winter.

His rig was kind of awesome. It used a modified propane fired V8 engine. Half of it was for engine power and the other half was converted to a badass compressor. It made enough air pressure and volume of airflow to fill the couple of hundred feet of 1.25 inch pipes, with enough pressure to activate all the sprinkler outlets in the system (about sixty nozzles) and move them around as if they were sprinkling.
Wow. That's a lot of airflow!

Are you an Atros fan yet, Mr. Cubby?

I have always been a Cubs fan, but Houston was a bit more local than Chicago when I was growing up, so, locals fan first, of course. They're still really new, compared to the Cubs, though.
It has been a rough go for Astros fans over the years.

Were you mesmerized by the no-hitter? I certainly was!

I'm a Cubs fan... I'm one of many that remember the Astros being in the same division as my Cubbies.

Since the election is over I removed the signs that were blocking our view of traffic and left them lying in a pile on the side of the road.

Drove a half hour to what is billed as the best donuts in Connecticut and it did not disappoint  :hyke: They  The parking was a mess but they had eight people working the counter so the line went quick

Yep.
Always rough when two favored teams go head to head against each other.

I mentioned to my wife that I had watched the no-hitter and her comment was, "Wow, that must have been the most boring game ever!"

Uh, NO! That was the most exciting game of the entire series.

She doesn't get baseball.

Took a nice long walk and noticed a corner lot on a 4 way intersection that was recently put up for sale, now has "Sale Pending" on it.  What's intriguing is the lot is bare except for what could pass as a small parking lot and comes equipped with an abandoned motor boat on trailer, an abandoned and gutted/derelict large towed camper and a decrepit shed with a red graffiti painted swastika on it.  I will be curious to see what happens over time.

My father is third cultured, and he still doesn't understand baseball.

Gopher teeth, all the better to chew with.

Going to the dentist is something on my list of things to do.

So far I've woken up and taken my meds.

I think I have a platonic crush on my dental hygienist.  :lol1:  I think she once said she's polish. She's so sweet and has a really cool accent.
