What have you done today? (Pt 2)

Went to physio class this morning and then got an orange juice from Macca's.

So in a moment of whimsy and noticing the heavy fog outside.  I took a walk with my long heavy coat and my Deer Stalker Hat.  Ala, Sherlock Holmes, Elementary my dear Holmes!       Now for a wee glass of Brandy.

Got another quote for the storm damage to the fence between my backyard and theirs.  We both got dogs and it's getting awkward letting them out.

The man wants £1000 to fix it.  Uuuhgggghh.

I just woke up with two cats on my bed. Oh and have taken meds.

Tinkered with, and eventually repaired, an HP calculator. I found it dirt cheap and thought I could fix it, and I was right!

Cleaned the coffee maker. Replaced batteries in various appliances.

Cooked a chicken.

Shoveled snow, cleaned off Ambers car.  Shopped for some booze and groceries.

Drank some coffee. Cursed a man. Cursed the noisy cyclists who think loud chats in the morning when I’m trying to sleep is cool.

Will go to the beach. Look at the waves, go for a swim.

We usually only use scents that smell like laundry but this week was BIG DUST WEEK. The house gets lightly swiffer dusted every week but furniture polish gets used for big dust week, and for some reason Sugarbutt and I were both very pleased this time by the lemon scent from it.  I read lemon scent has a positive mental affect so I grabbed some lemon oil while I was at the store and put some on a couple of laundry balls and strategicall hid them. I don't know how long the smell will last, and that probably will be a factor of whether or not I keep up with it.

At work my main job is sanitizing with a spray bottle and two cloths (one wet, one dry). When I started working there I didn't like the smell of the sanitizer. It smelt salty. So I bought some lemon grass oil (they didn't have plain lemon) and every time I fill my spray bottle, I add 5 drops of the oil. A couple of people have said it smells nice so that's all I need to know that it's better with the oil than without.

That's a great idea. We spray air fresh now and then but longer term scent products haven't worked out. Putting the lemon oil in the cleaning spray would mean it would be used constantly.
