Spent some time reading the book "Erebus" by Michael Palin of Monty Python fame, out on the deck.  The first time in 3 days of rain and below normal temps.  Startled a young deer, doe by the looks of her.  She ran off a short distance, turned back to look at me, decided I wasn't a threat and then ambled off into the woods munching the greenery as she disappeared.

A good day to be outside.

Bandsaw, table saw, router station, buffing machine, drill press, stand alone vice and secondary workbench, all collapsed as smallish as possible in prep for our upcoming move. Took all weekend, actually, but ready to go.

Far too much. Which is why I'm sat here trying to decompress at 3am instead of being asleep like a sensible person who has to start work in 5 hours.  :GA:

The #1 annoying invasive species around here is Japanese knotweed. Fucking thing just takes over.

My Inlaws had a ton of it around their place in upstate NY.  Fortunately, they had a family of Beavers that loved to eat the stuff.

We have a few beavers around but I don't think they dare venturing that far. Supposedly pigs like eating it too, but that's not an option either.

My inlaws place was on the edge of slow river, forests and fields.  With a decent sized piece of wetland for them to build a lodge.

The beavers were in your garden and took down a couple of trees but the knotweed wasn't interesting enough, I guess.

For my inlaws, the knotweed was more convenient for the Beavers.

I have to keep prescription and OTC meds in a locked tool box because of The PR's emotional illnesses.  I went through it today, organized them into zip lock bags and threw out expired stuff.

Continued to clear the house (you'd be amazed how much clutter Buckingham Palace can hold).

Took a walk and picked up roadside trash.  Took a bicycle ride.

Chased the cub around the back yard, attempted to convince him to eat fruit and veg.

Nothing much yet. Wrote an angry email to Lenovo. Their customer support is abysmal.

Found gardening to be a good way to get young ones excited about eating plants.

Shopped and dug out Carla's camping gear for her vacation.

Sigh, the garden has been a disaster this year due to ongoing stress. Most of it is lost or never planted in the first place and now it's pretty late in the growing season.
