Had to cover an emergency SAN reboot this morning and it turned into a 17 hour long shift.

I wish I still got paid OT by the hour instead of salary.
Ever got that feeling that you're trying to teach a dog a card trick?

Painted the trim and doors in the master bath, and will slowly do the whole house. The walls everywhere still look great, but the trim and doors weren't done the last time the walls were done. That's going to keep me occupied for a while.

Brought 3 boxes of stuff that Carla let go to Goodwill, mostly books and cd's.  And I brought a heavy bundle of coffee table volcano books as well.   8)

Walked the dog at stupid o'clock, then went back to bed.

Parts, I've never seen water frozen like that before.

I did two loads of washing and read some Star Trek Adventures stuff.

Usual weekly cleaning tasks. That's probably all for today; feeling a bit sore.

Culled some more books along with Carla doing the same.  We plan on moving in April to another place, so we feel the need to clear out stuff before then.  Mine are mostly volcano books that I don't plan on reading again.  And most were heavy coffee table books.  I've had one hernia surgery done,  I would rather not get another! :GA:

It's just before the river goes into Long Island sound so it's tidal and some of that is mud flats at low tide.  If it's really cold for a week or two it gets real chunky

Today I went for a drive and walked around an abandoned sanatorium on the shore  that is now a state park.   It was freezing and windy so I didn't last that long

At Aldi it was eerily quiet, hardly anyone there. I was able to buy everything I needed, there were no shortages of anything.

I still have to go to my cleaning job late this afternoon.

Work, coached Xan through some GCSE maths prep, went grocery shopping for daughter, picked up meds from pharmacy, trailed over to Leeds with groceries, found 40 minutes to shut my eyes, made tea, watched telly for a while with some (cheap) whisky. Hopefully tomorrow will be less busy then I won't be wired and half drunk at 2am posting shit on the internet tomorrow.  :blah:

Bought whisky and dog food. Did some light cleaning. Walked the dog.

Finally got the linen closet cleaned and organized. There's an obnoxious number of blankets for people who don't use blankets.
