I went to the Salvos for 6 hours, then to my cleaning job which was just around the corner. I just had to drive around the car park. I was there for nearly two hours and now I'm knackered. But I'll get used to it.

Your sister saw Challenger break up in 1986?

Like I said from where I used to live(Sarasota Fl) all you could make out was streaks of smoke in the sky when there was a launch.  She went out with her boss and saw the smoke trail going up and thought it looked different than usual,  she wasn't one to go out and look but did because her boss did,  they didn't know what had happened till they heard it on the radio.   I was at college working in the library in Ct when I heard

How awful. :(

Had the house I was supposed to work on postpone the work at the last minute,  so I went and looked at a warehouse complex a customer is working on

I was watching it live on tv at school when it happened. I remember it vividly. I haven't watched another one since.

Finished my tests at the lab and then took HB for what we thought would be his dental surgery only to find out after waiting 45 mins that it was merely a consult. It would have been helpful if they communicated that part.

Delivered materials for tomorrow
Drove around during the storm
Began cutting up the tree that fell in my back yard

I was listening to live radio while traveling by car and still cried.

Mainly, I have goofed off today, sipped tea, coffee and apple cider.
Overworked my back a couple of days ago and the spasms have come for a visit.

The shuttle never got better than a one in 83 failure rate, according to an ILS engineer consultant I talked to a few years ago. It's such a shame that they couldn't improve it. It was a magnificent piece of hardware and with all of Crew Dragon's hi-tech wonder the latter still doesn't come close. Space X's Starship might when it finally flies, but we'll have to wait and see,
