Weird that those certificates take so long.

Canada is not exactly known for speedy paperwork.

In the Netherlands the death certificate will be ready before the funeral takes place. It is needed for that. Most of the time the undertaker will do the paperwork and registering. That means it's there within five working days. When you need an official copy it can take three days if you ask for it via digital official channels or up to two weeks if you ask for it in writing.

Yeah I'm pretty sure there's not any paperwork anywhere in Canada that is processed that fast if it involves the government.

They've sped up immigration paperwork massively though. Knew someone who to her pleasant surprise found out that it all of a sudden went more than twice as fast.

I bought and wrapped presents and wrote in cards. I always find writing in cards difficult. I try to make it original. Try being the operative word.

Only for people whose families and significant others are applying from outside the country. So it didn't count for us.

Master bedroom, bath and closet are all packed as is the boys video game room. Half the basement has been moved to the shipping container so overall a very productive day. (I still hate moving  )
