The day is only half done but so far I have:
Picked up the boyfriend from the train station
Windex surfaces in the family room
Taken the recycling out
Loaded the dishwasher
Had a shower
Hung out with the neighbours
About to put a load of laundry in

Washed and hung a very small load of laundry
Fed The PR and me
Cleaned the bathtub
Washed dishes
Sorted some kitchen stuff
Rested a lot in between these onerous tasks.

Did part of a cross-stitch. Divided the thread into two as it was too thick, plus there wouldn't have been enough of it otherwise. The instructions never said to do that, but it looks better, and most importantly all there as a result.

Depends on fabric count. You normally divide each piece of floss into strands. PITA, it tangles easy. I did a few of the 18 count and up before...I remember one strand.

"For the best coverage of the fabric use the following:

    11-count aida - 3 strands
    14-count aida (or 28-count evenweave over 2 threads) - 2 or 3 strands
    16-count aida - 2 strands
    18-count aida - 1 strands
    22-count hardanger - 1 strand"

This is the kit. I divided the dark green thread into two, the other threads haven't been divided. I'm not sure what you mean by fabric count.

This is how it looks on the sleeve. The blurryness and darkness of both images makes the threads look a lot thicker. The threads definitely look thinner on the sleeve despite how it looks here, although too thin for my liking. I wouldn't have been able to thread back into two strands without it looking odd, I think. I divided the thread (six stands) into two, which was three strands each.

Flown from Perth top Sydney, hung out in Sydney and watched the Hunt-Lewis fight. Went to the airport and flew into Canberra and now home typing on my computer.
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

Wait...that's embroidery. Not cross-stitch. Cross-stitch pictures are pixelated, like old computer games.

Ran around like a crazy person trying to get paint chip samples for the new house. Nobody carries the actual colour I want to see so I had to spend $12 to get 3 sample containers and will paint them on cardstock to make my own.

Colors look different when you paint them onto a larger area anyway... now you have the sample cans, you could skip the middleman and test them out right on the walls.
You'll never self-actualize the subconscious canopy of stardust with that attitude.

Is there no option to get paint mixed in the colour you want?
(Or mix it yourself, I just love doing that.)
