In my garden (wet area) Hosta is mainly slugfood, alas. I have given up on the plant because of that. But they are really nice garden plants, that comes in all kinds of variations.

Past few years we do seem to have less slugs though, maybe I'll try again.

Those are nice plants, I like the leaves some of them have. Thanks hyke, for showing me. :)

Apparently they do well in pots too. Don't know if you have a half shade or shade place on a balcony or so. Then you could keep one or two. There are amazing leaf varieties. And the flowers have a special lilac colour.

I am not sure if we have them in Australia. They don't look familiar to me. It may be too warm to have them where I am.

Apparently they are available in Australia too. But they do need a fair bit of water, in a dry warm area it would be a high maintenance plant to have.

So far, clearing living room and dining table. (Latter was a bit packed because I had a reorganising fit yesterday.)
Did dishes. Did laundry. And did some culling of administration maps. Slowly it is starting to make sense what I have in there.

Time for a belated lunch, then hang washing, fold washing, and do another bit in the garden. (Yesterday did a big chunk there too, was needed, have not done much yet, this year.)

Oh, wrote some emails too, answered phonecalls, and ordered some simple fountain pens. Urge to write letters is back since a few weeks. Need for proper pens too. Been a long time since I wrote pleasantly with a fountain-pen. Stopped when my favourite one got bad, and a new nib did not make it better at all. So, ordered a few simple ones (and amazingly cheap), good brand, with a fine and medium point, to see what I like best nowadays.

They are very hard to kill also which is always a bonus

Separated and moved hosta's, talked with an old friend, and :laundry:

That reminds me...I need to wash my clothes.
Can't you guys even just imagine it?

Forget practicality, or your experience....can you just....imagine?

It's there. It always was.

Stayed awake most of the night, due to kid being very restless and unable to sleep. Affected us all.
In zombie state. But, despite that:
Did taxes, with someone helping me out. (maybe the zombie state did help, I had no energy to freak out about all the little stuff that has been worded in a vague way)
Laundry is in the machine.
Fed a kid.
Catered cats.
It's nearly noon.

Went to an appointment with kid. Wrote further on a letter in the waiting room. Had an in between evaluative talk with the shrink who happened to see me sitting there. After appointment did some grocery shopping with kid in a supermarket that has what can't be bought here. Got back home on the bus. Fetched some fresh bread from the local bakery and some stuff I could get here from local supermarket.
Hung washing, Folded other washing. Prepared a simple but nice meal. Wrote email to English teacher of the oldest.
Tucked in youngest and read her some short stories.
Exchanged some stuff we read today with oldest.

Now it is time for some tea, catering cats for the last time today, and then tuck in. Head is still spinning round from the way too short night sleep.
