Dropped kid off at school. Start of a trip to Rome.

And she landed two hours ago. Great weather in Italy. She'll have a blast.

For the first time ever (not first for me obviously - I have been doing this for over forty years) my son and I sat at my loading bench and loaded two hundred rounds of 38 special ammo.

It seems as if my son is ready to graduate from just little 22 rounds and take on a more formidable weapon.

Next time we go out to shoot, we will fire off these light loaded 38s and I intend to also take along one of my 45 autos (along with some light loaded rounds) and see if he is ready to try something more of a handful, with a bit more bite.

He has been handling my 45s for quite a while, now, and field stripping them, cleaning them, etc. He really likes the feel of a US Government Model Colt 45. (the boy has huge hands) I think it may be time to treat him. Depends on how he does with the revolver. If he can do ok after me flipping a completely different type of handgun in on him, then he will get to shoot a real 45 auto for the first time this week end.

Slept in, took Ceilidh to therapy and 2 hours later picked her up, did a mad search for her bank card, found it in her room (now it really is a mess), went and got meds and some shopping, came home and finished my assignment and printed it out just now. Yay!

Had a pair of glasses mended.  Took the PR to the neurologist.  We agreed to put her back on her higher epilepsy meds.  Her personality is better when she's on the higher dose.  Attended a poll commissioner class on provisional voting.

Harvested two large branches of one of my smelly ladies. Did it before the first light of the day cos that's the best time to do it (taste-/effect-wise). Finished cutting off any excess leaves an hour ago.. and I'm going to let the flowers dry for 7 to 10 days (~depends) and then the 'delicate' curing process starts. They're now hanging upside down on some pieces of string.

Has been a nice project for this year. Still is. Again learned quite a bit growing my own 'shite'. Like being a wee bit more patient. One has to be.

Good question.. and yes I did. C'est très important.

Did it 4 days ago (the 2 steps method) and went from giving them rain water to poor tap water the last 2 days.

Haven't 'touched' the best of the two plants tough. She still needs a little time. Um, don't worry.. she's not standing in the rain. She's outside but under the balcony's roof.

Am now thinking about the curing process.. I could try to flavour the dried flowers a tadski. Maybe with a bit of zest of an orange. Melon (skin) remains to moist, I'm figuring (now). Dunno yet..
