Picked up a couple checks from builders I had worked for then explored some new ways of getting around a local city where I have been working a lot lately

Explained BDSM to my mum.

How did she take it?   :hide:

With her usual bemused acceptance.  She's interested in psychopaths and she'd thought that psychopath serial killers might start out with BDSM and that it could be a kind of gateway drug to murdering, so I explained a bit about people's motivations for BDSM, how it wasn't generally about acting out sadistic fantasies, tends to be more about the sub than the dom and that kind of thing, and gave her a link to read about it.  She asked if I'd ever been to a BDSM club, and I told her I'd been taken along to one by a girl who was into it.  She thought it was an interesting thing to have done.

My mum would have either died or pretended not to hear a word.

Saw the psychiatrist.  Gave her a mediocre score on her performance review for re-certification or whatever it was, due to her cold, adversarial and unsympathetic manner.

Worked, both at the day job and at the cinema.

Packed stuff to take over to Ceilidh's.
Went over there and fed the cat.
Caught the train and two buses to see Ceilidh at a place I have never been to before.
We talked and I talked to her doctor for a bit.
We played pool (I am terrible at it and Ceilidh asked if I was losing on purpose but I honestly wasn't).
I made the long journey home.
Fed the cat again, had dinner and did a load of washing.

Not much considering it is 7:30am.
Fed the cat, gave him a drink (he drinks out of the bathroom tap directly) and let him outside.
