Still awake, but relaxed.

Not sure why, but I've been very sleepless lately. Its 5:30am here and I am still not at all tired.

Now I picked up my meds refill, I think I'm going to pop a couple of chlormethiazole caps, the stuff I take to suppress myoclonic attacks, and heavy-duty sleeper in one; and a sedating antihistamine (aside from the oxy doing so, chlormethiazole also causes a histamine release...oddly, it doesn't make me itch all over, or itch at all, but I always know when it starts to act because it produces a peculiar burning, tight sensation located behind the inside of the back of my nose)

Hopefully that should do the trick and have me ready to turn in. I've slept, sitting up at the computer quite a bit more, but still....proper bed, and the roast chicken in the fridge for breakfast is just what the dr ordered, so to speak.

Late afterthought....oh...bugger. I just remembered I had completely forgotten to take the two meds that suppress (nor)adrenaline release. That would do it alright, and eventually turn into a nasty rebound if I forgot long enough.

A friend of mine suggested I get one of those pill planner containers. Only problem is...one of my meds eats through plastic, and would weld it shut with my pills inside.

^  What kind of medication eats through plastic, and how is it stored?  :zombiefuck:

Sleepy, and it's not even 8 p.m.

There are two that I know of that eat through plastic. Chlormethiazole, and paraldehyde, both sedative-hypnotic/anticonvulsants. Not sure if paraldehyde is still used, but its fucking awful stuff. Melts plastic, it STINKS, and it carries an awful hangover, as it is simply the trimer of acetaldehyde, the alcohol metabolite responsible for causing hangovers and other negative symptoms upon heavy EtOH consumption. (trivia-the tetramer, metaldehyde, is the most common compound used in slug pellets)

Chlormethiazole is the one  I take. I've had inexperienced or unknowing pharmacy techs dispense it in plastic bottles before, I did warn them, but no...they refused to give me a glass bottle every script on cost grounds.

I've had to smash bottles open with a hammer before, after the tops got welded to the bottle itself.

I take it for my myoclonus, and to prevent any further seizures from happening, works great. Funny smell to it though, kinda like sulfurous, gone off cider, with hints of diethyl ether/THF, metal, and mint.

I just took a couple to help me sleep tonight, although I have had a few beers. One strictly speaking, isn't meant to drink on it, theres a specific interaction involving decreased clearance, certainly of the EtOH, but quite possibly both. Used for detoxing alkies because of that, but I know my tolerance for alcohol whilst on the stuff. Makes a few drinks hit like a truck full of bricks and last for a lot longer than usual.

After leaving two of the capsules on my computer keyboard for a while once, I now have two matching rice-grain shaped depressed imprints burnt into the top, between the F7 and F8 keys.

Pulled some muscles during the night and woke up from the pain.

Frustrated. Stupid package is still not here. I really wanted to get to work on it. Something crafty. Will keep my brain occupied. Bah.
