My brother in Brisbane tested positive to the 'vid. Just headaches and cold symptoms for him so far.
I hope it doesn't jeopardise his ability to come with us up north for my nan's 100th birthday in 3 weeks time :-\

^ I think we're past our peak now, over 150k daily cases at one point 2-3 weeks ago. Still in the tens of thousands per day now, with a few dozen daily deaths.
Our lovely state premier decided to ease all the restrictions and open everything up just as omicron became a thing, and then that had a flow on effect to other states then. Except for W.A where Renaeden is. W.A might as well be in a giant bubble  :laugh:

Our premier was going to open borders with the other states on 5th February. Not now. A backpacker brought in omicron (I don't know how he was allowed across the border) and it's spread like wildfire. Closest infection point to me was the Officeworks right near where I work.

One of the Ukrainian Girls Mom was talking about from her Bible Study claimed they worked with me at Walmart 5 years ago... little did I know, it was that Ukrainian Girl from 5 years ago.... the same one I avoided because I felt she was being too condescending and thinking I was retarded or something  :-[

I know we have to wear masks and all, but wearing one while the temperature is in the mid 30s is no fun at all. It makes me feel more uncomfortable and sweaty. By the time we get the promised fans at the Salvos, summer will most likely be over.

If I like something, I like something... but does that mean you're supposed to overanalyze why I like it? Because ever since Greece, I've liked Baklava, Greek Yogurt, and Gyros... ever since Pakistan it's been certain Curry, Jalebis, and those snack mixes I usually get where Patel Brothers used to be...

The Chinese Food I have is Americanized of course... but the Ramen I get from companies like Nissin, and that one place in Taiwan that I cannot think of at the top of my head is too damn good!

I have a wide palette of tastes... I guess that's why I am a foodie?
