Got my son's phone screen repaired - cost £109. He's had it back for two days and smashed it again.
This is why I make my daughter use Otterbox for her phone. And also, why I have to use it for myself because I'm not much better
I miss Nokia 3310s. The fuckers were indestructible.
Yeah. I had a spare, just in case, but neither phone ever got destroyed, as such. I over-customised one to take multiple sims (back when you could save a shedload of money by calling your friends on the same network they used) which just became annoying and cumbersome eventually, can't clearly recall what happened to the other, but replaced them eventually with a very similar basic Nokia that's survived nicely, just sems to have problems holding its charge nowadays, in spite of fitting new cell.
I don't need to video everything i see , read my emails on the train, show cat memes to everyone i meet, and all that shit. would sooner have a life, if possible , thanks. Have fierccely resisted moving to a smartpone. and you guys just reminded me of another very good reason why stick with basic phones.
I;ve ben looking at Doro phones lately, because b ig buttons, simple interface and robust design are a must for me. But they've got scores of new designs now, even including smarphones for old codgers. ooh! ahh...ummm. OK, so
now I'm finally tempted but also frozen in a state of extreme indecision.
I thought maybe I should have a smartphone so i could use Uber like everybody else, and save money on taxi fares. But you don't want to know what i think of Uber, at present. So scratch that.
Eeny, meeny, miny , mo...any better ideas for making a choice before the current phone dies completely?
