Someone would have to figure out a way to keep the participant's heads stable for an fMRI of brain activity during sex, but it's currently possible to do fMRI for masturbation.

pyraxis - we have the small version here I think, as my friend who is very overweight had an MRI and had to stretch her arm over her head otherwise she wouldn't have fit into the scanner. I did wonder how they would fit her in as I remember how small the scanner was from when I had an MRI years ago.

When I was scanned, the control room had a big wall-sized window looking into the scanner room, with the people in the control room having a feet-first, crotch-second view of the person being scanned.
