In desperation I've played both roles at time, the one with problems and the listener.  Just pretended I was a friend and what I would tell her.  I've given myself some good advice a time or two.

I definitely did. I never sleep well on the 30th or the days leading up to it. It's the anniversary of the death of someone I was really close to, my best friend's Dad. He committed suicide 6 years ago. He was my Dad's best friend since they were kids and he married the ex and me. It came as a huge shock to everyone. Still hasn't really sunk in even after all these years. So it's shocking that I slept as deeply as I did.
