Toilet of Ear they call it.

Basically they're going to scrap skin out of my ear canal, clean it all up and treat it with anti-fugal cream. It actually requires being knocked out for it, as from what I hear, it's way too uncomfortable to be awake for it. But if it works, I shouldn't redevelop any fugal infection again.

It does sound painful, but hopefully it will fix the problem.  Good luck.

 and thinking how much I hate aging and mortality, and especially dementia.  :-\
