Too damned hot. It's all I can think about.

Little sorrowful, here.
We lost our fourteen year old cat today. The sweetest cat EVER!! Never had a cat like her.
Had some scares a few months back, thought we were losing her then due to seizures, dropped massive coin to diagnose.
Tried to extend her life as well as we could AND we got four more months of Fabulous out of our efforts. Diabetic and she could only eat raw meats to ensure no additives containing sugars.

But, honestly, why do they put corn syrup in catfood? Pack o' bastards!

Rough day for us. I am grateful I did not have to dig another pet grave in February or January when the ground was frozen solid.

Aside from digging a grave, my daughter really NEEDED her dad today. I did my best.

:'(

So sorry.

Thanks, Odeon.

I still see her in my mind constantly. A pile of dirty laundry looks like her just chillin' there, sometimes.

I'm really sorry about your cat. They're family and 14 years isn't long enough. Liam was 14 when he died of liver cancer and we were heartbroken. Going by what you said about your cat, she sounded like she was full of personality. What made me feel a bit better was to get photos printed of our cats (our other cat Mollie died of neurological illness a few months after Liam died, she was 16) and put them in an album of memories. Better than being only viewable on my phone.

I feel for you and your family.

Thank you.  She struggled some toward the end. My daughter and I were right there until her last breath.

Now, my daughter won't sit on that end of the couch.
 :dunno:

Things are going to be better.

No, unfortunately. It's not common around here.

I should text the (former) other boss guy soon. He's not doing too well.
His past behaviour aside, crush boi is being a bit too harsh towards him now.

My whole state is about to explode with covid cases.

Wondering when this GP client from work is gonna rock up to the office to give us all our first dose.
It's probably the only way I'll get one at this point without waiting till 2022.

Damn, what's up with distribution in that part of the world?

Damn, what's up with distribution in that part of the world?

They're doing it in phases over here. So phase 1A was supposed to be the over 70's, disabled, health/aged care/disability workers etc etc.
1B was supposed to be ages 60-70 and aboriginal people. And so on and so forth until the least at risk groups are left till last.
The trouble is there's an over-supply of AZ and a drastic shortage of Pfizer, the only two vaccines they decided to make available here. And of course the blood clotting risk with AZ came to light so all the entitled boomers don't want it. Meanwhile there are still loads of people in phase 1A who still haven't been able to get a shot of either.

You do it, right after you've moved the bookshelves.

Developing a major guilty pleasure in watching "Forged in Fire" on the History Channel.  I have always had a fascination with edged weapons, knives and swords mostly.  This show is like "Chopped" only with Blacksmiths instead of chefs.  Fascinating to watch that process.  Taking lumps of metal and forging them into various weapons or tools (like a firemans ax).   8)

Is that the show where when they judge the finished weapon by hitting half a pig or ballistic gel with it and if it works the presenter says "This weapon will KEEEEEEEEEEELLL".
