I forgave some people today.  Not for them, but for me to move on.  I may forgive, but, forgetting is not an option.  At least I won't repeat the mistake of trusting them ever again.

I am often saddened to see so much energy diverted to such "causes."

We should ALL have forgiven each other already for everything. Kind of feels like it is the Human Way.

I need to start a proper dev project outside work. Something. Anything.

Build something. :viking:

The "Something. Anything."  reference worries me. Dark Precursor from past experience.

Good luck and Godspeed. Update soon?

Little sorrowful, here.
We lost our fourteen year old cat today. The sweetest cat EVER!! Never had a cat like her.
Had some scares a few months back, thought we were losing her then due to seizures, dropped massive coin to diagnose.
Tried to extend her life as well as we could AND we got four more months of Fabulous out of our efforts. Diabetic and she could only eat raw meats to ensure no additives containing sugars.

But, honestly, why do they put corn syrup in catfood? Pack o' bastards!

Rough day for us. I am grateful I did not have to dig another pet grave in February or January when the ground was frozen solid.

Aside from digging a grave, my daughter really NEEDED her dad today. I did my best.

Note to self:

Please be aware that the r-card is getting old and people realize you're not as "stupid" and "pathetic" that you make yourself out to be... Give up the gig buddy!

You're not an idiot, so stop worrying about it!!!!!!

What kind of dev projects are actually fun for you?

Proper document management instead of the bloatware I'm stuck providing to customers. Proper publishing stylesheets. Modern standards instead of age-old ones used in the wrong way. Using technology for what it was meant for.

Basically everything that I'm not doing at work.

Plus, I've done far less actual development lately since I'm a lead architect. I watch junior devs doing stuff and there's only so much I can do to stop them from doing stupid things.

A reaction to my current work situation, I suppose.

I'm on holiday for the next three weeks and plan to actually do something. Software-wise, I have a couple of projects I'm thinking of, and there's always another Dolby processor to be brought back to life.

Low-ball-ish offer on house. By an industry colleague of the agent supposedly. Damn insider deals. Wonder what the kickback will be.
It's not all bad though, with his property management expertise I'm guessing he's been on the tribunal merry-go-round many a time.
Just the type to give strata a lot of hell :flame:.

Fuming at Lenovo. Why does everything have to be so difficult?

Throughout my dealings with the agent I have remained courteous and professional and friendly and agreeable, yet DRAMA still manages to insert itself somewhere.

I'm really sorry about your cat. They're family and 14 years isn't long enough. Liam was 14 when he died of liver cancer and we were heartbroken. Going by what you said about your cat, she sounded like she was full of personality. What made me feel a bit better was to get photos printed of our cats (our other cat Mollie died of neurological illness a few months after Liam died, she was 16) and put them in an album of memories. Better than being only viewable on my phone.

I feel for you and your family.
