Not really frustrated. The birds make a bigger mess and the squirrels clean some of it. I can't hate on squirrels, being a good Dawg and all.I just have to accept the squirrels, too. In fact, I am more fascinated watching squirrels, sometimes. I'll have to dig up a pic from a few years ago showing a Ninja, fucking Mission Impossible, Tom Cruise, MI, DoubleO, Batfoot, hanging upside down, marauding, assassin ...I went to find it.
No one ever says they love watching gophers.

They get to eat what the birds drop, and some seed is purposely scattered on the ground for the doves. Have seen similar as the photo. Once bought an acrylic feeder which fastens to a window with suction cups. The squirrels were climbing the screens of nearby windows to jump to it, and dangling upside down from the gutters to drop and land on it. Ended up passing the feeder to a family member who has a sliding glass door, hoping they might have better luck with it.

I show my love for watching gophers mostly through a telescopic site targeting assist accoutrement attached lovingly to my "Get out of my yard" tool. Actually, I have never shot a gopher. Prairie dogs, yes. Mainly for coyote bait.
