I just saw your post now. It's a lot to experience, a lot to take in as a listener and even if we're not the affected party sometimes we need to offload it someplace too. What an awful experience for that family although thankfully not something even more tragic.

Also sometimes experience great anxiety when talking about other people. This is especially true of family, so can completely sympathize.

Agreed, I see no problem with offloading that here.  Its not like they're reading this forum . You're just talking with your mates about something that deeply affected you.  Which everbody does, if they care about their own mental health.  Surely no offence was intended nor taken.
