If this is our roaring 20s... what are we going to do to make it different than our 20th-century counterpart?

I don't know about you Gen, but as a distinct point of difference I am not doing the Charleston right now.

They were, but wasn't it more a late-2010s thing?

My Gram taught me how to do the Charleston. I have her flapper dress as well.

Stupid dog. It's late and there's no reason to bark at anything or anyone.
Stupid human. Shows what you know.

Indeed.

I got up one night to shut the dog up and discovered that a mob of raccoons were turning over and rummaging through our garbage out at the back end of our lot.
I looked down the alley and I was not the first to have his trash gone through by these vermin.

Not much I could do. I do not want them dead or even gone. I enjoy having wildlife close by, especially in town where I live.
I shined my evil massive flashlight at them and stomped my feet. They ran and I picked up my garbage, added a big block of brick to the top of the bins and tried again to get some sleep.

I went out dancing last night and I realized that one of the reasons I love dancing so much, beyond music being one of my obsessions, is that when I'm dancing is when I feel most free and there's no feeling of trauma that I battle in my day to day life. It's like pressing the reset button.

Awesome. I hope that reset button never wears out!

Think of any good ones? I know we have both been on the big D. Probably have not posted there in ten years or so. I went by "Fractality."  Last time I looked I no longer existed.

I actually haven't gotten much good feedback there, or really gotten noticed at all. Too many wannabe artistic types, substantive critique is a valued commodity and getting it requires too much networking and very frequent participation in their communities.

I really think a site like this where people know you and are happy to have a conversation is a better bet. If you have a thick enough skin to take bullshit too.

I just mentioned that site because it is the "biggest" free place. As I noted I was done with it as well. For a new artist trying to find ones way, any response can be helpful. Just how helpful may depend upon many things and especially, as you bring up, the thickness of ones skin.

Sorry, I really have no options for this question. All the typical choices seem too obvious to mention; Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Etsy, ad infinitum.
Not much first hand to share with that world.

New trend for you? Keep it going! I hope it lasts a long time.

Hey, as Pyraxis suggested, post some artwork.
There is a members only part of this site (Elder's Forum, I think) where your work can not be seen by the general public.
She is actually an educated artist and her input could be of value.

It's a new trend... I'm just needing to be more careful with my medication.

I'll find some stuff to show in the Elder section just to be on the safe side.

I know the feeling. Dogs are awesome. They keep track of everything happening outside for you and all they want in return is love. Actually not even that because they already love you unconditionally.
