Cool, so you're painting again. :)  I've never painted ceilings but i have painted walls. In the flat I used to have, the walls were peach when I moved in so I didn't put up with that for long. I painted the lounge room pale blue with a dark blue feature wall. Looked good with my wooden bookcase. I miss that flat.

Yes. Not as much as I could have got done over the holidays but I did my downstairs ceiling and one wall. It's just been so hot and muggy and I don't have much air movement in my place which makes painting sweaty and laborious. I couldn't do the ceiling at night either because my lights are too bright :laugh:
A feature wall would be cool, but I have to remember I'm not painting for me, I'm painting for mass market appeal. I have to stick to light neutral tones.

I'm bummed because HBQ looked alright in the spare bedroom. I might do the main bedroom in HBQ for the sake of uniformity.

It's now a toss up between HB 1/8th and Antique White USA.

Ok I've come to terms with the 5 litres of HBQ I have left now. Maybe I just needed that second coat to reaffirm my original choice.

Maybe you're not asking for their input in a way that makes them comfortable telling you the truth. I don't like criticizing art because I don't know enough about art to give an effective critique. Experiencing someone's art is very personal, like seeing them nude. I believe sharing art is very brave and I see no need to give negative opinions based on my own individual taste. If you were to ask me what your art makes me think and feel, then I'd probably tell you that.  :thumbup:

But, I was wondering about the possibility of posting work on a more art oriented community. Peer assessment is usually quite harsh and often very helpful.

Think of any good ones? I know we have both been on the big D. Probably have not posted there in ten years or so. I went by "Fractality."  Last time I looked I no longer existed.
