We are!!! Hugely relieved. We have to go back to the other place for one more moving day but only 5% of it is left so it won't be too bad. But it's big enough stuff to warrant renting another U-Haul (the bbq and patio set didn't make it on to the last one) and there are odds and ends left to be packed and dealt with. But the bulk of it is here.

I'm now a 'dedicated postwhore' but I'm about to reach a postcount of 5000 posts here.. wondering what kind of postwhore I'll become when I've reached 'that milestone'.

Wondering if I should go and knock up a refill for the chlorine gas generator I have rigged up outside in the garden and start gassing the remaining iodine in the column its connected to, now I know I've unstuck the receiver flask that the resulting iodine monochloride is  distilled over to. Or if its too late. Don't want to do that in the dark, I need to see what I'm doing, since it is a somewhat hazardous procedure, chlorine gas isn't too healthy to breathe, iodine monochloride vapor is worse by a long shot, although it is somewhat unstable to air, IIRC breaking down to Cl2 and I2 vapor somewhat readily. Still, buggered if I'm doing it in the dark and risking poisoning myself.
Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.

Please let the pups leg issue sort itself out. Seems to come and go but today she's extremely limpy.

I just realized it's nearly 10pm and the dog hasn't begged for me to take her to bed (she does that at 8pm like clockwork) and I realized it's because she hates where her crate is in the new place so much that she's hoping I'll forget to put her in.

Any chance it's an "acquired" limp, because it gives her attention?
There are stories of intelligent dogs with horrible limping when seen by their humans, but playing and running without any problem when there was no human around.

Kind of. It started with a legitimate injury about 5 weeks ago. Healed, got reinjured (hard to keep a dog her size down when she suddenly wants to play and has a willing accomplice who loves to wrestle) and then healed again. It's been off and on but it's in her shoulder and I know the exact spot to manipulate to make her whole leg weak. It just folds over at her ankle joint. So it's legit BUT I suspect it will be less severe once monkeygirl comes home. She did go for a limpy run a little bit ago in the yard which I was thrilled to see although I put her back on White Willow Bark which would help with the pain and the inflammation.
