Not all cops are bad. Some are decent and genuinely want to do good for the community. That being said, far too many are the bottom of the barrel, which is why this is their profession and are biased as fuck and we have way too many shoot first, ask questions later types, which has become more of a standard and acceptable within the legal system. At least in the good ole gun-happy USofA.

Am I a terrible person for not what's ng to go to a Catholic Wake and Funeral, even for one of the sweetest old ladies to ever live? I mean, if I go...I will just be thinking about how offensive this is. I was raised around that shit and it is why I got out as soon as I could. I want to be there for a family get-together, just not the two formal, religous gatherings.

People were taken aback when I said I'd given PA's body to the medical school.  Evidently it's not a common thing here.  It solved a host of problems.  He always said he didn't care what happened to him after he died since he wouldn't know anything about it.  I took him at his word.

A memorial service is in the planning stages (i.e. we'll do one sometime in November)
