Thinking I'm feeling most perky and indeed; rather chipper today thus far, no hideous nausea and/or vomiting, no seizures, no pain either, although the only of my meds I've taken are the pain ones, all I was able to pick up, aside from my xylometazoline spray and some more ondansewtron (zofran, about the best antiemetic/antinauseant that doctors have within their arsenals to give. Although I've never tried aprepitant. But the zofran, sheesh damn!, I first had it, although had pleaded with my docs for some before, but was knocked back and refused each time I asked
because its one of the most expensive meds around, aside from highly technically challenging and complex to produce stuff, mainly biologicals like monoclonal antibodies, modified viruses, gene therapies etc, but first had it when I had to go to the ER for the vomiting, it just would not stop, and was happening that day at a rate of once every 4-5 minutes or so, and shit me! it had been
going on for all night previously too, and I was getting dehydrated without being able to replace the fluid, at least, not without resorting to an improvised murphy drip, and using electrolyte solution with a bit of sugar in it. Dioralyte basically, same ratios, although with some magnesium added also and no flavouring or color because I didn't need the latter and didn't have the former. Not that it would be relevant in the first place coming from a murphy drip. (rectal/intestinal administration of either medication via drip or much more often, liquid feeding, for patients who cannot swallow or who must not ingest things orally for some reason or other.
Just so it COULDN'T be vomited, and because I confess, not all that easy to find a vein, for myself or a med tech, even with ultrasound guidance, for them, although I myself have a bit of a better idea where they are, and how to find them. But if your spewing so hard you go to the ER, yakking blood streaky bile and foam because theres nothing else LEFT inside your gastrointestinal canal to vomit up, you already emptied yourself out, then quick is important.
They gave me a pill of ondansetron, which was vomited instantly, coming up as a white splodge, before it even passed the lower end of my throat, they at first refused to give me any more because it wasn't 'accounted for', they didn't actually witness it coming up in the first person, even though they could see the splat in the barf bowl I was given and hugging for dear life or a quick bullet in the back of the head maybe, but I kinda actually did get angry with them over that, wasn't abusive, just, made it clear that was totally unacceptable, and was not going to be tolerated, no matter WHAT I had to resort to to ensure the correct outcome and basically, that they were to do what they are told to do, and get me some more, that I can actually ingest and have become absorbed. So, they gave me a shot IM. Took about 30 seconds to a minute to work, and it literally pulled me back from the edge of the river Styx, hugging myself in the foetal position, curled up into a nasty little ball of condensed misery and suffering.
Went from that, chucking big pools of bile up, with blood in it at times, and in absolute agony with my stomach feeling like someone was continually kicking me in the guts, and with the cramps, it felt like I'd been knifed in the stomach, or gone to the lab grabbed the bottle of nordhausen acid/oleum and took a swig. (nordhausen acd is concentrated 100% sulfuric acid that has then had additional SO3 added to form a superasaturated solution of sulfuric acid, because sulfur trioxide is the anhydride of sulfuric acid, otherwise known as oleum, and its corrosive as fucking crazy.
Theres a video clip of sulfur trioxide/sulfuric being poured on a chicken on youtube to get an idea (its a dead chicken, not some sick animal abuse video, plucked and otherwise ready to be put in an oven) of what its like. It doesn't cause burns as such, it literally starts hissing, spitting and belching torrents of smoke and soot, as it burns right through the carcass, reducing the contact zone to ashes and leaving behind black ash, as the bird was dehydrated and burnt to a frazzle, leaving it as carbon in chunks and soot. Also thinking that I want some of the freezing cooler spray thing for sore joints, to give myself a nice big squirt up my back and over my shoulders, because in this hot weather I am positively sizzling, getting slow-cooked to a frazzle. Its basically a spray of denatured alcohol, with menthol in it from the smell, and some sort of really really volatile propellant gas, I figure maybe dimethyl ether perhaps but thats just a guess, the menthol masks the smell of anything else too well, I can't even tell theres alcohol in it by smell because of the mintyness.
But mmmmm that is nice! a nice long squirt all over my back, shoulders, back of my neck and torso, and I've got a punnet of juicy ripe strawberries to eat, four bottles of elderflower fizzy ready to drink cordial (no water added needed, just drinkable right out the bottle) at the price the shop was putting on the price tags; so I have four bottles of the elderflower drink not two, and I absolutely ADORE elderflower drinks, they taste so damn good and are so refreshing in hot weather, I'm pretty pleased about that.
Also cooking, or rather, have cooked two baked rhubarb Pies, thats two out of three, as I just ate one before leaving the house to get a lift to the pharmacy in my old man's car so I could pick up my prescriptions in the local village center pharmacy. Yummy, I love rhubarb pie. Ended up giving in to temptation and went digging out hunks of pastry and eating them then and there, because my mom was busy demanding to be taken back into the kitchen for another fag, as she can't remember shes just had one and needs telling she has, and/or to zip it if she gets arsey
Anyhows, I've got myself a nice wee set of munch food and some tasty nibbles (fuck off, that is a letter 'B', not a 'P'
