  It's not the prettiest number, to be sure.  All spiky.  But it's a milestone.

  I'm going to be 50 very soon.  I need to make a 99-problems list and start solving them and
  crossing them off so I don't feel like a stalled, stuck, dead-in-the-water loser on my big milestone day.

  "Home" is a moving target lately.  Home is this apartment, in my dreams it's my childhood home,
  in my waking dreams it's some beautiful place of my own in the Rockies.  And even then, I realize
  that there's a destination after all this, and it may be some sort of spirit world, or it may just be a hole
  in the ground and a state of unaware nonexistence.  So, yeah ... where is home?
