UK: Uptown Girl by Billy Joel

USA: Islands In The Stream by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton

Aust: Karma Chameleon by Culture Club

Oh God i remember when they all came out I was like 12 or 13 or something.

Aust : Creedence Clearwater revival: Looking out my backdoor :(

I would have guessed something by Mozart

Thanks mate :P
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

How to apologise to Scrap

Bodie, I have to tell you that Prince Albert's spirit is broken.  I told him about the number one song when I was born.  He asked what was the number one song when he was born.  I had to tell him that the site only went back to 1946, not 1942.  His face looked so crestfallen I didn't know whether to laugh or console him, so I gave him hug and laughed behind his back.

Update -  I went looking and found out the number one hit when he was born was Chattanooga Choo Choo by Glenn Miller.

OMG i am sorry...tell Prince Albert i did not mean to hurt anyone's feelings  ;)

I must ask,  how did you manage to say 'chattanooga choo choo' with a straight face?

...and yes the Benny Hill song is quite funny -  but i really wanted it to be
'Johnny Mathis' and 'when a child is born' :zoinks:
blah blah blah

On my birthdate, these were the number 1 songs:

UK: Runaway - Del Shannon.

US: Tossin' & Turnin' - Bobby Lewis.

Australia: Dream Girl - Brian Davies and Dream Girl - Mark Wynter. Both versions were number 1.

No, Wynter. Must have been one of those crooners from the 50s/60s.

Dunno, but that's what it said.

BTW, on my sister's birthdate, the same song was number one on all 3 charts (UK, US and AUS). The Beatles 'A Hard Day's Night'.
