I'm in two minds about this.

On one hand , I am glad he's dead , he did deserve to die plus it may weaken Al Quaida temporarily.

On the other , they shouldn't have killed him straight away , I mean they could have interrogated the guy and found out more about the Al Quaida operations THEN execute him if they must.

Idk I just thnk there was information to be obtained from his capture rather than the gratification of his death.
  :dunno:

That's what my husband said, too.

I believe the orders were bring him in alive if possible.  The fact was that he resisted and there was a shoot out.  Better to have killed him while getting an opportunity
than risk him loose another ten years.  I wonder what will happen to the 25 million bounty that was on his head?  will that go to whoever fired the shot?

Actually, it would have been much more of a 'trophy' if he had been
captured.   He could have been taken back to america and faced trial.
Executing him in public would have been much more rewarding for the
relatives of his victims. ;D

I haven't had my TV on today, so have to ask if there were any pics of
the corpse, or the burial at sea.  If i were a relative i would really want to
see some evidence.

He could be posting on you tube next week..how do we know it was the
right man?

there is a picture

Really don't think America was after getting Osama alive. What then.. was the question they had, I think.

The big worry was, wouldn't that make him a martyr even more so.. being alive and in prison somewhere. Keeping him imprisoned somewhere
awaiting a trial wasn't an option. How to link Osama directly with 9/11 in said trial would also be very hard, I reckon.

Those options (amongst others) would most probably increase the hatred against the West of them radical religious morons even worse so.

Aim was, to get him.. dead or.. yeah, dead, I think. Throwing his body in the ocean was also an attempt to not make a bigger martyr of the fuck (to those who followed him).
No place to worship him too when there no grave at all.
