Oasis sucks as a band.

You're just envious of the Gallagher brothers' unibrows.  :P

When wearing PJ's at night, I end up in fights on life and death with my sheets and bedcovers.

Animal is Latin and literally means "breathing creature". Swedish djur and German Tier, that are cognates with English deer, mean the same, although they have a totally different Proto-Indo-European root.

In Sweden a long baguette is called pain riche. This is French and means "rich bread". Strangely that name doesn't exist in France itself. No one knows exactly how that name was created.

This photo was on the front page of the Houston (Texas) Chronicle.  Yes, they are riding what you think they are and yes, they are writing traffic tickets.  The story was that 22,000 tickets were plea bargained this month, costing the city money.

An old HS friend who now lives in TX posted a picture of the new $50M HS Football Stadium in her hometown. All I could think was WTF? How many hungry children could be fed? How many people wothout healthcare could be helped? Only in TX was the point made by her and all of her friends.

I'm sure most hicks understand the concept, though. :zoinks:

I can't even begin to imagine how terrifying this must have been for both of them.

Today was a stressful day. Headed to the Medicine room at 10 am this morning, and got labs first, then visited by the weekend doctor (btw he noted what a beautiful little lady she was...), once he checked her over, we waited for about 30 mins until her chemo arrived. The nurse came in and hooked the IV chemo called PEG-ASP up and began to run it. About two mins into it, Hannah had a huge reaction to it. I was scared to death, because she started coughing, crying, turning red, and breaking out into hives. She felt as if she was on fire. The nurse stopped the chemo and called the doctor immediately. I asked was this common, and he said yes. The doctor came in and examined Hannah and said that they would not continue with the chemo and would notify Dr. Inaba. She ordered Hannah some benedryl to help her. Hannah started feeling better after a while. They monitored her to make sure she was going to be okay, and sent us back to the Grizzlies House. Hannah is a bit tired, I assume from the benedryl, and I am tired from the days events. She will go tomorrow to have her labs drawn and see a doctor. We will have to wait until Monday to see what Dr. Inaba decides about the chemo treatments since she had a reaction to this. Lord, let there be a solution that works well with Hannah. Going to relax and possibly take a nap. Much love from Hannah Grace & Catrina

Bugger! I am itching all over. No amount of antihistamines helping.

Although scratching back/front/arms/legs/back of neck with a hairbrush is mighty satisfying.

Yay, I hear thunder in the distance. The long kind of 'ruckus'/yeah, far away thus still. Not aware which way the wind blows or how micro (this area) air-pressures are but sure do hope it heads this way. Um, for some reason, yet being a hyperacusis-ed son of a b., I really love thunderstorms.

Lightning/flats.. thunder/like loudly² beating on a Jap. timpani.. love it.

(yep, whilst typing previous.. storm's heading this way)(um, yay)

I like walking, sitting in the rain.  No umbrella or raincoat.  Just being a wild kid who embarrasses her husband.  I think it's time to do a little more embarrassing the next rain we get.

The thicker the rain, the better! A drizzle has an introspective charm of it's own too though.

Yet, I don't like getting on a bus, being completely soaked.

If you were a land owner in the Roman Empire, not only the land but also everything below it, down to the center of the Earth, and all the way up in the atmosphere was yours. This was known as Cuius est solum eius est usque ad caelum et ad infernos =Whoever owns soil, it's his all the way up to Heaven and down to Hell

Compare this to commie Sweden, where the criminals known as "the state" "own" metals etc. below your property still to this day  :thumbdn:
