I do grasp the issues of nationalism here. I also grasp that non combatants were deliberately attacked just like in Kampala Uganda by al Shabaab on July 12th 2010, as opposed to attacking military, police, judges, politicians etc.
yeah, i know that, but its simplistic to conclude that simply has to do with islam. you know very well that you dont have to be a muslim to target civilians.
its too easy to turn this into a crusade, because it de-complicates an issue.
again, im not _defending_ islam, or _defending_ terrorism, or _defending_ the act of targetting civilians, but imagine from the other side of the world, how it looks, when white foreign invaders shoot shit up, and they yell "jesus christ!" and "oh my god", its just as easy for them to erroneously conclude that its purely a matter of religion.
and i admit - it often BECOMES a matter of religion, because of layer upon layer of "circular logic/events"
we should be very careful not to simplify stuff.
i often take an opposite-stance in order to balance an issue out abit, ill take that upon myself, i am much less "pro-islam" than i often make myself appear
