Trafalgar Square, The National Galleries, The Tower Bridge and Canterbury among other things. You should visit there Scrap, you would probably enjoy it.

I was actually in England once, in the passenger compartment of a C-5. We never got out though (I think it was night anyways) so I never set foot on British soil.  :dunno:

US has more naturally cool stuff, definitely. But it is obviously a lot bigger lol

UK has far more history, so it's a far more interesting place to me. You won't get the likes of Whitby in the US. Well you might, in some theme park or something. :zoinks:

I'd love to go to the US for the landscapes though. And to gorge on ungodly food.

I had a similar experience when I was on a Flying Tigers stretch 8 to get to my permanent duty station of Rota Spain, it landed in Mildenhall but they didn't let us through passengers get out of the plane.

It depends on your interests, personality and goals in life.  I lean a bit more toward the UK because I don't live there and I'm sure my vision of it is a wee bit too rosy.  I did visit in 1976 for 2 weeks, but a tourist's impression is different from an inhabitant's.
