Eat with chopsticks

Should Soph learn to eat with chopsticks?  Discuss.

If he already eats with chopsticks, should he learn to eat soup with chopsticks?  Discuss.

Chopsticks are useless! It takes too long to eat with those things!    :angrydance:

I agree. They serve no purpose. Forks make more sense, and I can use chopsticks.

Yup, he should learn it.

Will make him eat more conscious of what he is eating.
In ten years that may help him prevent going FAT
And, chopstick food tastes different, when eating it with chopsticks.
I think eastern food tastes better when eaten with chopsticks.

My parents owned a travel agency and we as kids were taken to South East Asia to meet and greet business associates. We were both young and had to learn amoung other things how to "eat properly"  :laugh: before we went. Never forgot how to eat with chopsticks.  :asthing:

The thing that sticks in my mind most funnily enough was eating rice from their small hand bowls. it is customary in eating to bring the bowl to your mouth and literally shovel it in with your chopsticks and use it like a spoon. We initially were really daunted by this. We knew good manners and this tended to fly in the face of such manners. It as just difference in the way of eating. So we both looked at it like a kind of a silly perk. Like being allowed to do something naughty or whatever and got over ourselves.

When at an Asian resturant, take some home to practice in private. It's easy in no time. Can eat just a quickly with chopsticks as without.
