Firstly , Christianity borrows a lot of its ethics / teachings from other religions paganism being one of the main
Secondly , in the middle ages Doctors used stars and star signs to determine illnesses which was one of the few medical practices authorised by the church
Thirdly , If you can believe in some guy in a white fluffy beard sitting on a cloud deciding who lives and dies , etc why can't people believe in the stars having an influence on our future?


Both have the same level of believeability and more over PROOF so you can't say what is right and what isnt.

Well there is a theory that christians based God on Zeus due to Zeus being "almighty" they wanted that kind of guy to be a "figurehead" for their religion.

That theory is a bit . 

The Judeo-Christian-Islamic god comes from the Canaanite religion. The supreme god is called El, he has a wife called Asherah and together they have 70 children who are collectively known as the Elohim (the same in Genesis 1:1, In the beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the earth). The oldest and most senior of their kids is a god called Ba'al (these names should be ringing a bell by now) and a few kids down the line is a god called Yahweh who is a tribal protector of the Israelite people (if this doesn't sound familiar yet, you were sleeping in sunday school).

I would say it's a case of independent co-evolution. Mythology tends to be based on the same themes, regardless of the culture that invents it.

Ok, this is potentially a really stupid question, but dosn't it take time for light to travel though space ? What I mean to say is, isn't what we see in the sky a projection from a really really really long time ago, when the light first left from that part of the universe ? Wouldn't that make astronomy completly innacurate and only a subjective truth?

But our observations also be delayed, making the false information we see true.
